Instructor Course Information
Instructor courses are designed to prepare Lead Instructors for local
or regional program implementation. Support instructors and those that
fit into the definitions for administrative support may attend the Instructor
course but they must be affiliated with a Lead instructor to implement
the program.

Neonatologist
• Neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP)
• Clinical nurse specialist (CNS) in NICU
• Outreach educator with NICU experience
• Neonatal transport nurse
• Experienced NICU nurse
• NICU educators and preceptors
• Pediatrician with NICU experience

Instructor Course Objectives
Upon completion of a National Instructor course, participants will...
is to familiarize educators with the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program. At the
completion of this course, participants will:
- Gain an understanding of the basis for the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program
module content and program development.
- Understand who should participate in the S.T.A.B.L.E. Learner Course.
- Know how to implement the S.T.A.B.L.E. program on a local or regional level using a one or two-day format. This includes how to arrange a Learner course, course logistics and ordering program materials, accessing and administering student tests, recommended skills labs, learner renewal options and recommendations, and how to submit a student roster.
- Understand how to incorporate the Physical Exam/Gestational Age Assessment module into the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program offering.
- Identify the qualifications for becoming a Lead or Support Instructor or Administrative Support role and the process for preparing Support Instructors.
- Understand how Lead instructors may access the secure part of the web site.
