Her research interests include methods to improve neonatal outcomes, the educational process, and teacher attributes. Dr. Karlsen is a skilled, entertaining, and knowledgeable lecturer, who participates frequently in conference presentations both nationally and internationally.
He has extensive national conference teaching experience and is in great demand because of his wonderful, humorous teaching style and broad knowledge about neonatal and pediatric intensive care. He serves as co-chair of his local IRB and serves on the National Certification Corporation board as a consultant for the development of a neonatal and pediatric transport certification exam. Dr. Stein frequently lectures at national conferences on neonatal cardiac and medical conditions. He has taught both NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. nationally and internationally. Email: HowardStein@BEX.NET.
Patti coordinates and teaches numerous other staff development and education programs on neonatal care. Currently she works as a NNP with Mid-Tennessee Neonatology Associates, providing care to infants in level I, II, and III nurseries in the Nashville area. She is the coordinator for their NNP Group and the Neonatal Transport Coordinator at Centennial Medical Center. |
