• 13 (+ 2 mannequin orientation programs) pre-programmed branching scenarios that are specifically designed for the Newborn HAL® mannequin. Please note, one of the patients is a 32 week gestation infant and 3 additional branching scenarios are also provided for the Premie HAL® mannequin.
• You may install these branching scenarios on up to 4 newborn or combination newborn and Premie HAL mannequins if those mannequins are "housed" in the same physical location.

Q: Is simulation mandatory for the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program?

A: No, simulation is optional. If you incorporate simulation into your classes, then you will need to add another 1 or more course days as it takes more time to conduct simulation sessions.

Q: Can I use the Neonatal Stabilization Scenarios for S.T.A.B.L.E. course renewal?

A: That is a GREAT and timely question! We are working out the qualification details to permit renewal by simulation once the 6th edition program is launched this year. The issues under discussion are as follows:

• How to best achieve a didactic review of the S.T.A.B.L.E. content. Self-study with an on-line test? In person with an in-person versus an on-line test (and if in person, what class duration should be required).
• What simulation qualifications should the S.T.A.B.L.E. instructor possess in order to renew students by simulation?
• How many Neonatal Stabilization Scenarios would each student need to participate in to qualify for renewal?

Q: Do these scenarios work on other mannequins than Gaumard's?

A: No, they are validated for the Gaumard newborn HAL mannequin, and in the case of the premie scenarios, the Premie HAL mannequin only.

Q: Can I buy the Scenario Guidebook separately?

A: No, at this time, the Simulation Package is being sold complete because of our plans to permit Renewal by Simulation in the future.
